Welcome to the Varuträsk Mine, the centerpiece of the Adventurepark.
The unique rock vein was discovered in 1932 by local farmer, Harald Holmgren, whose curiosity and passion for adventure led him to dig deeper. The mine operated from 1932 until 1946 and discovered a remarkable variety of minerals. The Varuträsk mine is now recognized as one of the most mineral-rich sites in the world. Come tour the historical mine to see remnants of the past and Varuträsk's discoveries firsthand.

Paintball

Prepare for an exciting paintball game under the canopy! Get geared up in the gun shop and battle it out on our forest arena. Split into two teams for games like Elimination, and Capture the flag. Suitable for groups of families, friends, and enemies.

Kids paintball also available for the younger ones.

Mineral Park

Explore the forest for signs of the past

Search the mine deposits for stones of value or beauty

Map, stone hack, and goggles provided

You may keep any stones or treasure you find

Not only is the Varuträsk mine available to explore below ground, but there is much to see, learn, and do above ground. Remnants of the old mine can be found throughout the forest, especially the deposit piles from the mining process. In those piles are still large amounts of rare minerals and crystals.

Purchase your own Mining License to explore and dig through the deposits.

Vildmarks Spa

End your day relaxed and surrounded by forest by rounding off a group gathering or conference at our Wilderness Spa. All heating is wood-fired, inviting you to slow down, relax, and listen to the gentle crackle of the fire.
The spa features four outdoor hot tubs, a sauna, and a nearby relaxation area where reindeer-skin covered benches surround a long table. Settle in with good company and enjoy the evening.

Waffle Cafe

Open 10:00 - 17:00 everyday June 22nd to August 16th

Don't need to book an activity to come visit

After a day of burning calories in the trees, an adrenaline filled paintball game, or just passing by the park, come fuel up at our new Waffle Cafe. Our cafe is open to both booked guests and drop-in visitors. So even if you are just driving by, come enjoy lunch, or share a fika with friends under a sunny forest canopy. We also serve coffee, ice cream, or a dessert style waffle.
