The treetop obstacle course at Skellefteå Adventurepark, also known as the high ropes course, can be enjoyed as a fun family activity or an adrenaline-filled challenge. It combines physical puzzles, climbing, and adventure, offering something exciting for participants of all ages and skill levels.

High up among the trees, you move between platforms on courses set at different heights, tackling obstacles that challenge your balance, strength, coordination, and courage. It’s similar to a ground-based obstacle course, but with the added thrill of height.

Our High Ropes Course is designed with the Safe Roller Continuous Belay System; a safety technology that allows freedom to move and play with the highest safety standards. Simply attach your Roller Trolley on the course entrance cable and climb on! The Trolley will roll along with you as you climb. When you've completed a route, the trolley can be easily removed and carried with you the next course. This allows freedom to repeat courses or level up at your own speed.

Course Rules

Before you start climbing you must read our safety rules and sign our waiver.

For kids under 18 years old, this form must be signed by a guardian.

Climbing is at your own risk.
You are not allowed to be under influence of alcohol or other drugs.
You are not allowed to smoke or be close to open fire with the equipment on.
Participants cannot weigh over 120kg.
If you have epilepsy, are pregnant, or have any old injuries, it is up to you to decide if the activity is suitable to participate.
Kids under 12 years must be followed by an active climbing adult. An adult can assist maximum two kids.
You must always follow our instructions and rules.
You must be approved by our instructor in the introduction course before you can start to climb.
Maximum two persons on each platform and one person on each obstacle.
You must wear gloves during climbing. Bring own or buy our gloves for 50kr.
All loose items must be stowed away in a closed pocket or be left on the ground.
You are not allowed to adjust, change, or take off equipment without checking in with our staff.
The staff can cancel the climbing in case of fire, storm, lightning or similar reasons.

The safety system for our course is professionally designed and built according to the latest EU standards. All courses are thoroughly inspected before opening, reviewed annually by Kiwa - accredited by Swedac, and checked daily by our trained park staff. Even the trees are regularly inspected.

All climbing equipment is well-tested, approved under strict industry standards, and carefully checked before use. Every participant receives a mandatory safety briefing from a trained instructor and must complete a short introductory course to demonstrate understanding of the safety system before climbing.

The Essentials

Children under 12 must climb with a participating adult who supervises them at all times. One adult may supervise a maximum of two children. Climbers under 18 must have written approval.
